Stephen B. Gruber, M.D.
Dr. Gruber will present “Genetics of GI Malignancies.”
Dr. Gruber is Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine, Epidemiology and Human Genetics at the University of Michigan Medical School. He also serves as Director of the Clinical Cancer Genetics Program and Associate Director of Cancer Prevention and Control at the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Dr. Gruber earned his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Public Health from the Yale University School of Medicine, and a Ph.D in Epidemiology from the Yale University Graduate School. Following an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Gruber completed a fellowship in Medical Oncology at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, and a fellowship in Clinical Medical Genetics at the University of Michigan.
Dr. Gruber is an active member of the American Association of Cancer Research, the American Society of Human Genetics, and the American Society of Clinical Investigation. He serves on the Colon/Rectal Screening Panel and the Genetic Testing Panel of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, and serves on the Editorial Board of the Whitman Journal of Psychology.
Dr. Gruber’s honors include a fellowship in Clinical Oncology from the American Cancer Society and an election to the American Society of Clinical Investigation, and the H. Marvin Pollard Professor of Internal Medicine Award.
