Kathy Miller Jose Montero Malcolm Pike Peter Rose         Julian Schink Gail Vance Frank Vicini Pat Whitworth Frank Vicini, M.D. Dr. Vicini will present “Partial Breast Irradiation.” Frank Vicini, M.D. is the Corporate Chief of Oncology Services and the Medical Director for the Beaumont Cancer Institute. He also directs the Brachytherapy Fellowship Program, and is the Director of the Radiation Therapy School in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Beaumont Hospital. He received his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine and served his residency in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Beaumont Hospital. Later he completed a breast cancer fellowship at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Vicini has been involved in national clinical studies involving breast and prostate cancer. He is particularly interested in brachytherapy as a method of radiation therapy for selected patients with breast cancer, and is the principal investigator of NSABP-B39. He has published more than 180 articles on breast and prostate cancer for numerous scientific, peer-reviewed journals; and has presented his research at national and international meetings. He has authored chapters in textbooks and is on the editorial board of several oncology journals. Dr. Vicini has served as president of the Michigan Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology and the American Brachytherapy Society.
